Now that the course has re-opened, it allows youto start working on your game for 2016, and wethink that you all must set your goals for thecoming Year! It could be really simple as :
- Focusing on a weaknesses of your game - Trying to get selected for one of the manyclub teams. - Learning more about course management andscoring - Simply play more golf - Shooting your lowest ever round - Winning a roll-up - Getting through to the quarter final of theBraiswick Cup - Always a good one to achieve! - Working on your short putting and avoidingthose damaging 3-putts
All these things seem simple, but if you losesight of your goals, it will be nearlyimpossible to strive towards them. Here at theColchester Golf Academy, we are here to workwith you to make goals a reality, and to workthrough them with you.
One of my current students is focused on gettinginto one of the main teams here at the club, andwe have made a short term plan of improving hisshort game and the scoring side of his game.Once we have made progress through stats andscoring analysis, we will spend more timeworking on hitting more greens in regulation, without ever neglecting the short game progresswe will have made.
