Played last weekend as a foursomes bogey competition the pair were four holes up on their nearest competitor with an very impressive score of plus five. Nearest to them were

Guy Lennox (8) with a score of level took third place.
Blackmore and
Watson playing off 11 and 10 respectively however never wavered. Their front nine of plus two was added to by an even better back nine of plus three, and they rightly go on to represent the Club in this national competition.
The ladies continued to play in the shortened format of fourteen holes and it was Annie Johnston (14) who returned a score of 35 points to put herself five shots clear of the field. Chasing her were two players on 30 points,
Margaret Carter (24) and
Elizabeth Napier (34).
Maureen Devenish (17) and
Linda Freeman (19) with 28 and 27 points tied up nicely the top places.
In the first Walk-on-Stableford of the year and continuing the weeks stream of runaway winners was
Stephen Sheffield (13) who returned an impressive 40 points despite not scoring on the 10th he managed to construct 20 points on each half to give him a four point victory over
Ernest Van Vredenburch who was playing off a handicap of 12.
Two scores of 34 followed, with
Simon Smith (19) and
Patrick Logan (16) taking the third and fourth place. They were followed in by three players all returning 33 points,
Andrew Schofield (8),
Andrew D Smith and
David Newley.
