Turner Family Foursomes The Turner Family Foursomes which requires a blood relationship or marriage to qualify has been known to generate feuds in the past but requires family unison to win and the Barbers, Lewis and his mother Rosina, personified that with a Stableford score from their 14 handicap of 39 points. The Barbers excellent and steady round was enough to give them the edge over Linda and Steve Freeman who returned 38 points. Both pairs had returned 20 points on the front nine and it was a birdie on the 14th for the Barber’s which separated them on the back. Alan and Carol Irvine (24) were third with 34 points and fourth place was taken by Louisa and Russell Storey (11) with 33 points.

Both players had produced excellent first nines with 24 points but a stronger handicap back nine saw Free earn the extra point to win. Linda Freeman (20) returned 38 to take second place with Gillian Whittle taking fourth from Philippa Deman (11) after a countback.
Vets Stableford The midweek Vets Stableford saw twenty-two handicapper John Campbell shave a couple of shots off his handicap with 40 points.
